Samsara Blues Experiment - One With The Universe [Album Review]

Image
Hailing out from Berlin, Germany, Samsara Blues Experiment belong to a "Class" of their own. Though the band describes their music genre as Heady Psych , the band plays a mixture of Psychedelic Blues , Stoner Rock , Indian Raga and Folk . "One With The Universe" is their fourth full length album. After the release of outstanding albums like "Waiting for the Flood" and "Revelation and Mystery", one may be wondering what could SBE do next in their albums and "One With The Universe" is the perfect answer to all the confusions, queries and questions. It is almost impossible to say that this kind of music was crafted and performed by three guys only. Christian Peters (guitar/vocals) has got deep vocals, which somehow reflects the intensity as possessed by the legendary Jim Morrison . Usually, the band's music is characterized by blunt and doomy guitar riffs, escorted by sensual bass guitar and flawless drums. The band has also...

ALESTORM - No Grave But The Sea [Album Review]

Image
Formed in 2004, known as "Battleheart" before 2007, "Alestorm" is one of a kind. The band describe their style as "True Scottish Pirate Metal", and they are true on every sense. Their every track reminds us of Piratic life, Adventures, and not to mention Drinking. Originated from Perth, Scotland, Alestorm doesn't fail to amuse us. After a hiatus of 3 years, the band is back on the sea of music, with their Jolly Roger flying high. Their fifth full length album "No Grave But the Sea" delivers fun, groovy riffs along with folky sounds. Starting with their album art, as always they have used their mascot, skeletonized Captain Morgan with his pet rat "Scurvy Steve". "No Grave But The Sea" is a fitting name for any album by Alestorm. Songwriting is outstanding in the album. If you are a fan of Alestorm and their music, this album surely won't disappoint you. Christopher Bowes' harsh vocal along with his catc...

TERRIFIER - Weapons of Thrash Destruction [Album Review]

Image
Terrifier, known as Skullhammer before 2012, hailing out from Canada has certainly marked their presence in the Thrash/Speed Metal genre. Though “Weapons of Thrash Destruction” is only their second full length album, there is no doubt that Terrifier is here to stay. With aggressive riffs, technical solos, just perfect vocal and drums result in skull crushing Thrash band that doesn’t fail to amuse us. With bands like Annihilator, Anvil, Voivod, and the list goes on and on, Terrifier is outstanding band to be added to the Canadian roster of Thrash bands.  Speed, adrenaline, energy and the ability to add melody to such aggression results in the Terrifier we know. The album cover shows that Thrash is what the band is all about and trust me on this one; they are. Starting with name, “Weapons of Thrash Destruction”, brings back the vibes from the old-school thrash era.  Their first track "Reanimator" is the perfect combination of aggressive thrashy rhythm combi...
